Try this: Place your left foot on a chair to your left and bend your right knee in such way that your left leg would parallel to your right leg.

Do the same for your right leg.

In each of those exercise, you are doing half of a split. Physiologically speaking, your body is without question capable to do a flawless split alike most gymnast can. But only a few of us could do it.

Why? Here is the reason:

When you do a split and you come to a certain point, your unconscious brain, the part responsible to keep you alive, deliver a signal to your muscles to contract so as to prevent it from rupture. When your muscles contract, you can’t stretch. It is as simple as that.

Although if you realize, children tend to stretch better than grownup do, and the reason for that is because they haven’t notice the “dangers of stretching too much”. In other words, your ability to stretch is hindered by your expectation of whether you could perform it or not.

The same concept apply to vision improvement. Through using specs, you’re virtually teaching your brain that you need this substance to see. Therefore, it had adapted itself to do just that: see through a glasses.

The similar is true for strain. Bad vision habits like staring things needlessly strain on your eyes… and if you perform this a number of times, your brain will adjust itself and places stress on your eyes even when you don’t want to. Strain, undoubtedly, causes shortsighted and other usual vision problems.

This is why providing that you desire to improve your vision, it is vital to not put on your glasses. A kid will absolutely not learn how to swim assuming that he never tried to do it without a life jacket. It’s also essential that you alter your vision habits or your brain will continously alter your sight to where it is now.

Because eye sight is such an unconscious ability, you wouldn’t even realize when you are indulging in your poor habit… this is what eye exercises are for. Through practicing enough of them, you could subconsciously alter your habit.

Think about it. Isn’t that how habits are created? So why couldn’t you create good habits through performing certain things regularly? Yes, eye exercises aren’t meant to tone your eye muscles… it is about modifying your vision habit. And this is the reason why most individuals who went through LASIK again end up having to put on spectacles in a few years time.
